Arrive into Krabi - most Delhi routings connect through Bangkok or Kuala Lumpur - and transfer to Ao Nang, the mainland beach strip backed by limestone cliffs. Evening on the beachfront settles the group; the serious water time starts tomorrow.
Krabi's signature Four Islands day by longtail or speedboat: Phra Nang Cave beach, Chicken Island, Poda, and the Thale Waek sandbar that surfaces at low tide. Lunch is usually part of the tour; carry cash for the national park entry on the day. Sun cover matters more than you think out on the water.
Catch Railay in the morning - the longtail from Ao Nang takes 10 to 15 minutes, and the tide, light and crowds are all kinder before noon. Then the road transfer to Phuket: about 160 km over the Sarasin bridge, 2.5 to 3.5 hours door to door in any weather.
Phi Phi Islands day cruise from Phuket - speedboat if you want more stops, the slower big boat if anyone in the group gets seasick. Pileh lagoon and the snorkelling stops carry the day; Maya Bay viewing depends on the season's park rules, so treat it as a bonus, not a promise.

Fly out of Phuket, usually via Bangkok. If the departure is late, squeeze in a final swim before checkout - and swim inside the flags all week; Andaman currents deserve the respect the locals give them.
