Arrive Krabi and skip the busiest strip: this couples build favours the quieter Klong Muang and Tubkaak side, where the resorts face the sunset and the crowds thin out. Unpack once, find the beach bar, and let the pace drop to island speed.
Take the Hong Islands by boat - the lagoon there is the calmest of Krabi's famous sights - or upgrade the classic Four Islands run to a private longtail, which asks little and removes the tour-group feel entirely. Either way, this is the day the Andaman starts showing off.
Boat across to Phi Phi and stay, rather than day-tripping like the crowds do. Check into the island, find Pileh lagoon and the snorkelling water while the light lasts, and remember the monsoon caveat we build into every plan: sailings adjust to the sea, not the itinerary.
Cruise on from Phi Phi to Phuket and trade island lanes for a proper resort evening. Aim for Karon or Kata beach at sunset - gentler and prettier than the Patong side, and the right first look at Thailand's biggest island.
A slow Phuket day for two: Old Town's shophouse streets and genuinely good cafes in the morning, the Big Buddha lookout after, and a table on the sand for dinner. Skip the nightlife circus unless curiosity wins - it is one street, easily sampled, easily left.
Keep the last full day open on purpose: spa, pool, or the sea-canoe day through Phang Nga Bay's caves and the James Bond Island skyline if sitting still fails. Honeymoons need one day with nothing to prove - this is it.
