Dubai is two cities; buy the right one
There is a ₹60,000 Dubai and a ₹2,50,000 Dubai, and they barely overlap. The first is a shared-transfer city of coupon attractions and 20-person desert safaris — perfectly good fun, and our standard Dubai package serves it honestly. The second is the city Dubai actually built its reputation on: beach palaces on the Palm, dinner at chef-name restaurants, a desert evening with your own dune vehicle and falconer rather than a convoy, and the world's tallest building seen from its premium lounges at sunset rather than the general deck at noon.
This page is the second city. The difference is not spend for its own sake — it is that Dubai, more than almost anywhere we sell, rewards the top tier disproportionately, because the marquee hotels are themselves the destinations. Nobody flies to Dubai for the museums; they fly for how the place makes them feel, and that product lives at this tier.

The honest calendar: November to March is the Dubai you are imagining. New Year's Eve at the marquee hotels is a genuine spectacle priced like one — book by September. And the summer secret worth knowing: July–August room rates at the same palaces drop steeply, which for an indoor-led trip (spa, dining, malls, Aquaventure mornings) is the best luxury-per-rupee window of the year.
Two sample luxury itineraries
Itinerary A — 5 nights / 6 days: the flagship trip
Day 1 — Delhi to Dubai (about 3.5 hours; multiple daily nonstops). Private airport transfer — no meet-up desks, no vouchers — Palm-tier check-in, evening at the resort. Day 2 — Beach and Palm day. Resort morning; afternoon at leisure or Aquaventure (included at the Atlantis properties); dinner at one of the hotel's chef-name tables, booked before you fly — the good ones do not have walk-in availability. Day 3 — Downtown. Dubai Mall and the aquarium at your pace, then Burj Khalifa at sunset from the premium levels — the higher-floor lounge experience, timed for golden hour, tickets pre-booked to the slot. Fountain-view dinner after. Day 4 — Private desert evening. Late-afternoon pickup in your own 4x4 — dune drive, a conservation-reserve route rather than the convoy circuit, falconry at sunset, private table at the camp, astronomer if children are along. This is the day the luxury tier transforms most completely. Day 5 — Your Dubai. Old Dubai done well in the morning if it interests you — the creek by abra, the gold and spice souks, the Al Fahidi quarter — or a resort day; optional add-ons from helicopter circuits to yacht afternoons, priced plainly on request. Day 6 — Fly home, or extend to Abu Dhabi — 90 minutes away and a genuinely different city.
Itinerary B — 6 nights: beach + desert two-centre
Three nights Palm beach resort, then two nights at an Al Maha-tier desert resort (private pool, dune stillness, wildlife drives), and a final downtown night for the Burj evening. The strongest honeymoon shape we sell to Dubai, and the version repeat visitors thank us for.

What moves the price
- The hotel and room class, massively. Market rates run from strong five-stars around ₹25,000–₹45,000 a night to Atlantis The Royal entry categories multiples higher — and sky-villa territory beyond sense. The same itinerary spans the whole headline band on this choice alone.
- Season. Christmas–New Year weeks can double room costs; July–August halves them.
- Cabin class. Business-class Delhi–Dubai adds meaningfully; premium economy is the quiet value upgrade on a 3.5-hour sector.
- Experiences. Private desert formats, yacht hours, helicopter time and chef-table dinners are transparent line items — we itemise rather than bury them.
- Visa — the UAE tourist visa for Indian passport holders is a modest fixed cost we process with the package.

The contrarian window: July–August, when marquee-hotel rates fall steeply and an indoor-led trip (spa, dining, waterpark mornings, malls) becomes the year's best luxury value. April and October are fair shoulders.
Is the private desert safari worth it over the standard one?
It is the single biggest experience upgrade in Dubai. The standard product is a convoy: shared vehicle, fixed camp, buffet with a few hundred people. The private format gives you your own vehicle and route — often in the conservation reserve — falconry at sunset, and a table under the dunes with nobody in your photographs. For couples and families it is the evening people remember; we quote it as a plain line item so you can decide.
How many nights are right for Dubai?
Four to five nights covers the flagship trip: beach, downtown-and-Burj, the desert evening, and one unscripted day. Six to seven suits the two-centre version with a desert resort, or families pacing around the waterpark. Weekenders manage three nights usefully because flights are short and frequent. Beyond a week, add Abu Dhabi rather than stretching Dubai.
Is Dubai good for a luxury family holiday?
One of the best on earth for the 4-to-14 age band: Aquaventure and the aquarium, dune evenings with astronomy, the fountain shows, indoor skiing, and hotels engineered for children without surrendering adult comfort. Can we see the Burj Khalifa without the crowds?
Managed, yes. The general observation decks run busy all day; the higher-level premium experiences with lounge access run calmer and are worth their step-up at sunset — the slot to hold. Dubai or Abu Dhabi — or both?
Different products 90 minutes apart. Dubai is spectacle, beach-resort scale and dining; Abu Dhabi is the Louvre, the Grand Mosque, Yas Island's parks and a quieter luxury register. What about alcohol, dress codes and rules Indians ask us about?
Simpler than the internet suggests. Licensed venues — effectively all hotels and most restaurants — serve alcohol; public drinking and drunken behaviour are the offences. Dress in malls and public spaces is modest-casual; beachwear belongs at beaches and pools. Public displays of affection are best kept minimal.
